The Illuminati

Personally, I have seen many discussions on the Illuminati. Many seem to label it as Adam Weishaupt and the Bavarian Illuminati and dismiss it as long disbanded. While yet, others at the same time claim
every celebratory and historical event is tied to this shadowy cabal. In this series we will be exploring what the Illuminati truly is.

On the first of May 1776 Adam Weishaupt found an organisation first known as "The Order of Perfectibilists (Perfektibilisten)" but became famous as the "Ordo Illuminati Bavarensis", or the Bavarian Illuminati. A government edict dated 2 March 1785 which appears to have been the beginning of the end for the order. Weishaupt had fled and documents and internal correspondence, seized in 1786 and 1787, were subsequently published by the government in 1787.

Yet, it is clear that  George Washington had no doubt that the Illuminati was not ended then for in a Letter dated  October 24, 1798 (click here for full text of letter) he wrote, "It was not my intention to doubt that, the Doctrines of the Illuminati, and principles of Jacobinism had not spread in the United States. On the contrary,  no one is more truly satisfied of this fact than I am.”

The Illuminati itself simply means "enlightened" there are many branches which are found within the mystery schools and many secret societies. The upper ranks of these branches are the Illuminati. It's often confused and limited to Adam Weishaupt and the Bavarian Illuminati.

"The Ancient Mysteries, Secret Doctrines, Philosophy of the Secret Schools, and Divine Mysteries are synonymous." - The Philosophy Of Fire By R. Swinburne Clymer pg. 27

"the Keys to the Sacred Mysteries could never be lost to the Secret Schools and Occult Orders." - The Philosophy Of Fire By R. Swinburne Clymer pg. 46

"We should not say lost, they are merely suppressed and held in the secret Archives of the Great School to be a aim promulgated when the time is opportune." - The Philosophy Of Fire By R. Swinburne Clymer pg. 34

"knowledge always existed, at times only in the Secret Archives of the Great School, that it became degraded by selfishness and then suppressed by design;" - The Philosophy Of Fire By R. Swinburne Clymer pg. 37

"...(Secret Masters and Initiates ) concealed their labors, and either influenced those who knew them not, to do their work or worked through agents pledged to conceal their very existence." - The Philosophy Of Fire By R. Swinburne Clymer pg. 30

"...Secret Masters and Initiates do exist, and they are truly possessed of profound knowledge; they are ready to help the denizens of the world; but these must be ready and willing to receive help if they are to be benefitted by it. Guided by a complete Philosophy, armed with a Key to Symbolism, aided by the Initiates and the Secret Schools, the Lost Mysteries maybe restored and confer their benefits upon the races of men" - The Philosophy Of Fire By R. Swinburne Clymer pg. 31

"I feel the weight of the responsibility resting upon me, for in the Illuminati, to preach is a very small part of the duties to be performed." - A Rose Cross College: A Resume of the Teachings and Proceedings of the Rose by Clymer R Swinburne pg. 121

"In a letter, which he (Dr. James R. Phelps) invariably wrote to the beginner who came under his training, he said
"My authority — and I dislike that word — goes back for years, and was conferred by honored brothers now resting from their labors. For reasons of my own, when I affiliated with the Order Illuminati — of which Count Giounotti, (then here he mentions the names by which the Master is known,) was the Hierophant" - The Son Of God The Mystical Teachings Of The Masters By R. Swinburne Clymer Forward

"The Supreme Grand Lodge or Hierarchical organization of each country is separate and independent, and the officers of the Grand Lodge of one country have absolutely no authority in the government of that of another country. The one exception was that of Count Gouinotti, in his selection of Dr. James R. Phelps as head of the Rose Cross Illuminati and was authorized and legitimate due to the fact that the Illuminati had not been established in America prior to this act." The Rosicrucians: What They Are, and What They Are Not BY R. Swinburne Clymer Pg. 41

"Charles Dana Dean F. R. C. High priest of the Illuminati, R. C., Grand Muster of the Rosicrucian Order for North America. President of the Grand Council of the AMORC, and a member of the Board of Directors of the corporation. Passed to the Highest Initiation through transition on Tuesday, July 25, 1933." -ROSICRUCIAN DIGEST Vol. XI. SEPTEMBER, 1933
No. 8

“The philosophic ideals promulgated throughout the Shakespearian plays distinctly demonstrate their author to have been thoroughly familiar with certain doctrines and tenets peculiar to Rosicrucianism; in fact the profundity of the Shakespearian productions stamps their creator as one of the illuminati of the ages.” - The Secret Teachings of All Ages by Manly P. Hall

"ILLUMINATI (Lat. Illuimare) a designation illuminati  in use from the 15th century, and applied to, or assumed by,  by  enthusiasts of types distinct form each other, according  as the " light"  claimed was veiwed as directly  communicated from a higher source, or as due to a clarified and exalted condition of the human intelligence. To the former class belong the alumbrados of Spain.  Marcelino Menendez y Pelayo found the name about 1492 (in the form alumbrados, 1498), but traces them to a Gnostic origin, and thought their views were promoted in Spain through influences from Italy. One of their earliest leaders, born in Salamanca, a laborer's daughter known as La Beata de Piedrahita, came under the notice of the Inquisition in 1511, as claiming to hold colloquies with our Lord  and the Virgin; having high patrons, no decision was taken against  her  (Menendez Pelayo, Los Heterodoxos Espa–oles, 1881, vol. V.). Ignatius Loyola, while studying at Salamanca (1527) was brought before an ecclesiastical commission on a charge of sympathy with the alumbrados, but escaped with an admonition. Others where not so fortunate. In 1529 a congregation of unlettered adherents  at Toledo was visited with scourging and imprisonment. Greater rigouts followed, and for about a century the alumbrados afforded many victims to the Inquisition, especially at Cordova. The movement  (under the name Illumints) seems to have reached France from Seville in 1625, and obtained some proportions in Picardy when  (1634) by Pierre Guerin, cure of Saint-Georges de Roye, whose followers, known as Guerinets,  were suppressed in 1635. (Herman hist. des keresies, 1717)  Another and more obscure body of Illumines came to light in the south of France in 1722, and appears to have lingered till 1794, having affinities with those known contemporaneously in this country as 'French Prophets', an offshoot of the Camisards. Of A different class were the so-called  Illuminati, better know as Rosicrucians, who claimed to originate in 1422,

(Continued) but rose into notice in 1537; a secret society, combining with the mysteries of alchemy the possession of esoteric principles of religion . Their positions are embodied in three anonymous treatises of 1614 (Richard et Giraud, Dictionnaire universel des sciences ecclesiastiques, Paris 1825).
A short-lived movement of republican freethought, to  whose adherents the name Illuminati was given, was founded May-day 1776 by Adam Weishaupt (d. 1830), professor of  Cannon Law at Ingolstadt, ex-Jesuit. The title of this order or society was Perfertibilisit  (Perfektibilisten). Its member, pledged to obedience to their superiors, we're divided into three main classes; the first included "novices" "minervals" and "lesser Illuminati"; the second consisting of free masons,  "ordinary" "Scottish" and "Scottish knights"; the third or "mystery" class comprising two  grades of "priest" and "regent" and of "magus" and "king." Relations with Masonic lodges were established at Munich and Freising in 1780. The order had it branches in most countries of the European continent, but it's total number never seem to have exceeded two thousand. The scheme had its attraction for literary men, such as Goethe and Herder, and even form the reigning dukes Gotha and Weimar. Internal rupture preceded its downfall in 1785.  Later, the title Illuminati was given  to the French Martinists, founded in 1754 by Martinez Pasqualis, and to their imitators the Russian Martinists, headed about 1790 by Professor Schwartz of Moscow; both were Cabalists and allegorists, imbibing ideas from Jakob Boehme and Emanuel Swedenborg. - Encyclopedia Brittanica, Vol. 14, 1911 page 320

"Martinez Pasquales, the founder of the real order of Martinists, and that bond has been kept up because Martinez Pasquales was a member of the Mystic Masonic Body. " - Ancient Mystic Oriental Masonry By R. Swinburne Clymer pg. 72

“The great strength of our Order lies in its concealment; let it never appear in any place in its own name, but always covered by another name, and another occupation. None is fitter than the three lower degrees of Free Masonry; the public is accustomed to it, expects little from it, and therefore takes little notice of it. Next to this, the form of a learned or literary society is best suited to our purpose, and had Free Masonry not existed, this cover would have been employed; and it may be much more than a cover, it may be a powerful engine in our hands. By establishing reading societies, and subscription libraries, and taking these under our direction, and supplying them through our labors, we may turn the public mind which way we will. In like manner we must try to obtain an influence in the military academies (this may be of mighty consequence) the printing-houses, booksellers’ shops, chapters, and in short in all offices which have any effect, either in forming, or in managing, or even in directing the mind of man: painting and engraving are highly worth our care.”-Adam Weishaupt (from John Robinson’s “Proofs of a Conspiracy” p. 112)

"to be often traced more or less vaguely in the West, that the Great Lodge of the Magi, the Adepts, the Perfect Masters, known and designated also by many other names, has never ceased to exist; that this Lodge has often, though secret and unknown, shaped the course of Empires and controlled the fate of Nations. That this is a fact beyond dispute has only lately been proven openly in the issueing of a Secret Mandate that the Secret Degrees of Mystic Oriental Masonry should be worked and by the appointment of a Deputy Grand Master in America by the Supreme Order of the Universe." - Ancient Mystic Oriental Masonry By R. Swinburne Clymer pg. 37

"the Fraternity now called the Rose Cross was known as the Paracelsians, Alchemists and Illuminated Brethren It has ever been the same Great School under names in harmony with the age and the needs of the peoples." - The Philosophy of Fire By R. Swinburne Clymer pg. 30

  1. This article is very interesting reading indeed. The Ancient Mystery Schools all had incredible arcane knowledge and most scholarly individuals can clearly see the nature of these groups in the modern age. When people like Stewart Swerdlow talk about the Illuminati in his plagiarized DVDs and video presentations, it now becomes apparent that Swerdlow simply rehashed his ancient wisdom and repackaged the information as his own. He connected the knowledge of the Illuminati to military bases, Reptilians, Freemasonry, colonies on Mars, Atlantis, shapeshifting and much more. Stewart Swerdlow is seriously mentally disturbed and only ever provides useless advice and information that is designed to hoodwink and dupe gullible people. All of Swerdlow's predictions have had a 100 percent failure rate. What a con man Stewart Swerdlow really is.

Stewart Swerdlow always lies and pretends he learnt everything he knows about the Illuminati from fake employees who worked on the fake Montauk Project. Every single conspiracy connected to the fake Montauk Project, are also completely bogus and nothing more that made up lies created by Stewart Swerdlow, with some help from Alfred Bielek and Preston Nichols. Stewart Swerdlow knows very little about the Ancient Mystery Schools and was never given any secretive information concerning the Illuminati on any covert project. Swerdlow simply plagiarized all his information to embellish his fake backstory because he had a criminal record. This means Stewart Swerdlow is a charlatan, a fake, a liar, a fraud and a con artist who only cares about feeding his bloated ego and narcissistic obsession with having to be noticed as Swerdlow is the ultimate wannabe conspiracy theory fantasist. Even the B.S. Winged Lion Frequency made up by Swerdlow the Swindler, is from the Old Testament. The Winged Lions were a symbol of the Cherubs that guarded the Ark of the Covenant. Swerdlow is such a fake individual.

    1. I've never heard of Stewart Swerdlow but by what you say he clearly has no understanding of Ancient Mystery Schools/Illuminati either he is confused or misleading people based pn your comment.

  2. I agree with the comments made about Stewart Swerdlow. He has also plagiarized the work of Manly P. Hall and many others. However Swerdlow also plagiarizes the work of Aleister Crowley and practices Ceremonial Magick. Many people think Swerdlow rehashes the doctrines and beliefs from the Ancient Mystery Schools and the relabels various works and ideals for his own career and reputation. It is truly hilarious that the Bielek Debunked website has exposed how fake the Montauk Project was and how much of a charlatan, fraud and liar Swerdlow is as well. He goes on about the Babylon Working and pretends he does not connect such evil to his own demonic philosophies. Then Stewart Swerdlow uses various beliefs from doctrines of the Ancient Mystery Schools as part of the deprogramming he does for his clients.

Therefore Stewart Swerdlow has zero understanding of the work of Reuben Swinburne Clymer, Manly P. Hall, the Knights Templar or anything else. Swerdlow even mentions in his book, Blue Blood, True Blood, that he is related to Saint Peter the Apostle and is a Sirian hybrid. I think people need to ignore Mr. Stewart Swerdlow, who is clearly not mentally all there. Stewart Swerdlow uses something he calls the Language of Hyperspace that is actually not entirely comprised of archetypes, but demonic sigils that Swerdlow has taken from various grimoires on Ceremonial Magick and then he adds in his disinformation on the Ancient Mystery Schools to further confuse people and spread lies.

  3. This is an interesting article about the historical foundations of the Bavarian Illuminati. I also read the comments some posters have made concerning Stewart Swerdlow and how he plagiarized his knowledge from the works of C. W. Leadbeater, Albert Pike and Manly P. Hall and so on. Then Stewart Swerdlow tells people he is directly connected to the Bavarian Illuminati and Secret Societies. It is also well-known that Stewart Swerdlow has extensively studied the work of Aleister Crowley and the O.T.O. Yet Swerdlow tells everybody he learned what he knows about the Bavarian Illuminati and Western Esotericism from employees on the Montauk Project from 1970 to 1983. That is sheer rubbish and a whopping great lie that Stewart Swerdlow has told. Duncan Roads, the Nexus magazine editor has warned people for years about Stewart Swerdlow being nothing more than a plagiarizer and a deceiver who has taken much information from the Ancient Mystery Schools and rehashed it all as part of his fake backstory so Swerdlow can make himself look important.

It is also interesting that Stewart Swerdlow used to regularly wear a Knights of Malta necklace and a Knights of Malta t-shirt. However interesting is it not, that the Knights of Malta are connected to Opus Dei, Scottish Rite Freemasonry, York Rite Freemasonry and the Jesuit Order. Of course, Stewart Swerdlow just lies and makes out his knowledge on Occultism comes from hyperspace and his contact with extraterrestrials. Personally, I think the charlatan, fake and con artist Stewart Swerdlow has made everything up in his backstory and now Swerdlow is using his knowledge about the Illuminati as an excuse to make people believe he is unique and special in some way. Look at the exposure many ex-clients have done on Swerdlow over at the Hyperspace Cafe Forum (HCF). The Ancient Mystery Schools were founded and developed by people who were genius level savants who had truly amazing insights. Stewart Swerdlow however, is nothing more than a wannabe and an attention seeking fantasist.
