Christian Rosenkreuz

Christian Rosenkreuz (Rosenkreutz), was called founder of the Rosae Crucis. " His very name is an embodiment of the manner and the means by which the present day man is transformed into the Divine Superman.
This symbol,
"Christian Rosen Kreuz"
[The] Christian Rose Cross,
shows the end and aim of human evolution, the road to be traveled, and the means whereby that end is gained." - The
Rosicrucian Cosmo-Conception By
Max Heindel

Christian Rosenkreuz (Rosenkreutz), was called founder of the Rosae Crucis. His name meaning he was “Christed” and Rosenkreutz being German for rose cross.

"We must not forget Christian Rosencreutz, the Refounder of the Rosicrucian Fraternity, which had previously been known as the Alchemists and Paracelsuians, and the powerful influence his works had on the reformation of the time."  - The Philosophy Of Fire By R. Swinburne Clymer pg. 47

"In the thirteenth century a high spiritual teacher, having the symbolical name Christian Rosenkreuz--Christian: Rose: Cross--appeared in Europe to commence that work. He founded the mysterious Order of Rosicrucians with the object of throwing occult light upon the misunderstood Christian Religion and to explain the mystery of Life and Being from the scientific standpoint in harmony with Religion."- The Rosicrucian Cosmo-Conception By Max Heindel

There no evidence he ever lived he is most likely allegorical. His creation was probably by the secret societies to hide the fact that the Rosicrucian teaching is not new just the same mystery school teachings.

“...enthusiasts who for years have struggled to identify Sir Francis Bacon as the true "Bard of Avon" might long since have won their case had they emphasized its most important angle, namely, that Sir Francis Bacon, the Rosicrucian initiate, wrote into the Shakespearian plays the secret teachings of the Fraternity of R.C. and the true rituals of the Freemasonic Order, of which order it may yet be discovered that he was the actual founder.”- The Secret Teachings of All Ages by Manly P. Hall

"before he (Hiram) expired he hid the hammer and disc upon which he had inscribed the Word. This was never found until ages later when Hiram, “the widow’s Son,” was reborn as Lazarus and became the friend and pupil of the Lion of Judah, who raised him from death through initiation. When the hammer was found it had the shape of a cross, and the disc had become a rose. Therefore he took his place among the immortals under the symbolical name Christian Rosenkreuz" - Freemasonry And Catholicism By Max Heindel pg. 41

"In his Anacalypsis, Godfrey Higgins writes: "The Rosicrucians of Germany are quite ignorant of their origin; but, by tradition, they suppose themselves descendants of the ancient Egyptians, Chaldeans, Magi, and Gymnosophists." (The last was a name given by the followers of Alexander the Great to a caste of naked Wise Men whom they found meditating along the river banks in India.) The consensus among these factions is that the story of Father C.R.C., like the Masonic legend of Hiram Abiff, is an allegory and should not be considered literally."-The Secret Teachings of All Ages by Manly P. Hall

Christian Rosenkreuz is presented as the arthur in three manifestos that were published early in the 17th century.

Fama Fraternitatis (published 1614 in Kassel, Germany) This manifesto introduced the founder, "Frater C.R.C."

Confessio Fraternitatis (published 1615 in Kassel, Germany)

The Chymical Wedding of Christian Rosenkreutz (published 1616 in Strasbourg, Germany) It was written in German, and its title was Chymische Hochzeit Christiani Rosencreutz anno 1459.

Johann Valentin Andreae claimed to be the author of, The Chymical Wedding of Christian Rosenkreutz, in his autobiography. Andrea, often considered as the true founder Rosicrucian said it was,  "youthful literary trifle", meant as a satire. -Life, p. 10

"the famous Chemical Wedding of Christian Rosenkreuz, which appeared in 1616, is now known.

He was Johann Valentin Andrea, a German writer and theologian living in Wurttemberg, who confessed that he composed The Chemical Wedding as a 'ludibrium' - a 'joke', or perhaps a 'comedy' in Dante's and Balzac's sense of the word. There is reason to believe that Andrea, or one of his associates, composed the other 'Roiscrucian' tracts as well; and it is to this source that 'Roiscrucianism', as it evolved and as one thinks of it today, can be traced."- The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail Michael Baigent, Richard Leigh and Henry Lincoln Pg. 107

Johann Valentin Andrea was a Grand Master of the Prieure de Sion 1637-54.

Christian Rosenkreutz looks exactly like Jacques De Molay, the last grandmaster of the Knights Templar.
