Bhavacakra/Circle of Life
The bhavacakra is painted on the outside walls of nearly every Tibetan Buddhist temple in Tibet and India. |
The bhavacakra is often referred to as the wheel of life. It was know in "The Lion King" as “Circle of Life".
The Fire Philosophers teach in order to destory your enemies do it with fire to ensure that they never return, the destruction of the circle of life.
This is representation of samsara in Buddhism. Samsara is the cycling through one rebirth after another within six realms of existence. The Sanskrit terms for the six realms are: Deva realm: God realm Asura realm: Demi-god realm Manuṣya realm: Human realm Tiryagyoni realm: Animal realm Preta realm: Hungry Ghost realm Naraka realm: Hell realm
