"H. . A. . B. .
An abbreviation of Hiram Abif"-An Encyclopedia of Freemasonry by Albert Gallatin Mackey
"Most of the Masonic documents use the initials HA for Hiram Abiff, but some of the older works referred to him as HAB. Did this mean that at some point his name had been Hiram A. Biff? Tackling the French dictionaries again, the answer was found in the verb biffer which means to strike out or eliminate. The Masonic term was not a name, but a designation: Hiram Ă Biffe simply means "Hiram who was eliminated."- Born in Blood: The Lost Secrets of Freemasonry by John J. Robinson Pg. 227
"European mysticism was not dead at the time the United States of America was founded. The hand of the mysteries controlled in the establishment of the new government for the signature of the mysteries may still be seen on the Great Seal of the United States of America. Careful analysis of the seal discloses a mass of occult and Masonic symbols, chief among them, the so-called American eagle . . . The American eagle upon the Great Seal is but a conventionalized phoenix [signifying the new age rising from the ashes of the old]."- Manly P. Hall The Secret Destiny of America (1944)
"Typhon, the Queen of Ethiopia, and the seventy-two conspirators represent the three destructive powers, preserved to modern Freemasonry as the murderers of the Master Builder three destructive powers preserved to the modern Freemasonry as the murderers of the Master Builder. They are ignorance, superstition, and fear, (the state, the church and the mob) the destroyers of all good things."– Freemasonry of the Ancient Egyptians, by Manly P. Hall pg. 148-150
"The Five Pointed Star: This picture, known to all Masons, is that of the Soul. It is the Star of Bethlehem, which heralds the coming of the Christ within. Hall pg. 38 |

"The exact science of human regeneration is the Lost Key of Masonry, for when the Spirit Fire is lifted up through the thirty-three degrees, or segments of the spinal column, and enters into the domed chamber of the human skull, it finally passes into the pituitary body (Isis), where it invokes Ra (the pineal gland) and demands the Sacred Name. Operative Masonry, in the fullest meaning of that term, signifies the process by which the Eye of Horus is opened. " - The Secret Teachings of All Ages By Manly P. Hall pg. 252

"The Trinity in man lives in the three great chambers of the human body, from which they radiate their power throughout the three worlds. These centers are the brain, the heart, and the reproductive system. These are the three main chambers of the pyramid and also the rooms in which arc given the Entered Appentrice, Fellowcraft, and Master Mason's degrees of Blue Lodge Masonry. In these three chambers dwell the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, who are symbolized by the three-lettered word, AUM. The transmutation, regeneration, and unfoldment of these three great centers result in the sounding of the Lost Word, which is the great secret of the Masonic Order. From the spinal nerves come impulses and life forces which make this possible. Therefore the Mason is told to consider carefully his substitute word, which means "the marrow of the bone." Anatomy of Man Manly P. Hall pg. 8
“Hori Term used by highest level freemasons only who believe they are the “eyes of Osiris,” to avenge the destruction of wisdom by overthrowing Christianity with majick. They want to accomplish consummation of the Great Work of rising an illumined man of wisdom over selfishness, that is, the man of revelation, the man's number being 666.” - http://www.eurekaencyclopedia.com/index.php/Category:Freemasonry
"THE THREE STEPS
Usually delineated upon the Master's carpet, are emblematical of the three principal stages of human life, viz.: youth, man-hood, and age. In youth, in Entered Apprentices, we ought industriously to occupy our minds in the attainment of useful knowledge; in manhood, as Fellow Crafts, we should apply our knowledge to the discharge of our respective duties to God, our neighbors, and ourselves; so that in age, as Master Masons, we may enjoy the happy reflections consequent on a well-spent life, and die in the hope of a glorious immortality." - Duncan's Ritual And Monitor Of Freemasonry by Malcolm C. Duncan
"...(Sacred City of Shamballa) for like the Masonic brother and his Jacob's Ladder..." The Initiates of the Flame Manly P. Hall
A person who has held the office of master in a Freemasons' lodge, guild, etc is called a Past Master.
A Freemason, if he suspects you are a brother, might ask you if you:
"Are a traveling man?"
"Do you do much traveling?"
If you are, you would answer:
"Yes, I have done some traveling in the east."
His reply might be something like:
"What is it that you seek? Why are you traveling in the east?"
And the answer would be:
"To find the source of illumination."
In Spanish Orient Masonry the candidate was led by a brother called the Terrible and used symbolic names.
"The three Principal Officers of a lodge are, it is needless to say, situated in the East, West and South. Now, bearing in mind that the lodge is a symbol of the world, or the Universe, the reference of these three officers to the Sun at its rising, its setting, and its meridian height, must at once suggest itself." - Ancient Mystic Oriental Masonry By R. Swinburne Clymer pg. 157
In the east, sits the Master of the Lodge, within the Lodge and in the north, no one sits.
