The Greek sun god is Helios.

Helios is Greek for sun.

The Colossus of Rhodes is a depiction of Helios. It is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Colossus was created in the 3rd century B.C. and depicted Helios holding a torch high in one hand and standing on the island of Rhodes facing the water.  It was 107 feet tall. Helios was also represented as an all-seeing eye.

The Statue of Liberty is essentially the New Colossus of Rhodes.
